PAST EVENTS

Nigerian Cooking Class & Storytime for Kids

Together with the team at Buka New York, we spent an afternoon reading, cooking, and sharing a me together. We started with a read-aloud of Emeka, Eat Egusi! and then went into the kitchen to help prepare some Nigerian dishes inspired by the book.

 

 

Persian Sofreh Night in Harlem

We kicked off our new event series with a Persian sofreh, where host Saba Hamidi showed us how to make her famous jeweled rice.
